DOTA 2's The International 10 Peaked With 2.7 Million Viewers and Set an ESports Record in The CIS.


This peak of 1.2 million viewers for CIS streams also exceeded the peak for English streams of one million viewers.

TI10 generated a total of 107.2 million viewing hours from October 7th to 17th, a jump of almost 20 million hours over TI9. In addition, the event drew an average of 857,343 viewers over the 125-hour period, compared with an average of 738,873 viewers over the 120-hour period of TI9.


The two year hiatus between TI9 and TI10 has clearly raised some international points in the world. The numbers have increased across the board, with prime-time viewers increasing 30-35%. As for general spikes, TI10 peaked at 1.7 million viewers on Twitch, over 662,400 on YouTube, and 114,000 concurrent viewers on Facebook Gaming, according to ESports Charts. DotaTV also supported around 188,000 concurrent viewers in the Grand Final, surpassing its previous TI8 record of 186,000.


The International 10 is on the books, with Team Spirit taking on the top teams in the crank full of surprises to win the event and claim the lion's share of the record-breaking $ 40 million prize pool.


This prize pool was not the only record-breaking aspect of the event. The final between Spirit and PSG.LGD peaked with more than 2.7 million viewers and, according to the ESports charts, set a new TI audience record, an increase of 37% from the 1.9 million TI9 of the strength of OG Liquid -Teams.

The Spirit Run was also a catalyst for Eastern European fans to get in the mood for the event with the Grand Final with 1.2 million simultaneous viewers on all Russian-language streams. This marks a new audience record in the CIS and a regional audience record of 41.2 million hours, making the TI10 the most popular eSports event of all time for the region.


Spirit was also by far the most popular team at TI10, with a run that took up 33% of the total viewer hours during the event at 34.9 million hours. With around 798,000 viewers per game, they also have the highest average audience.


Fans were ready to see the Dota 2 International.
