The most popular character in DOTA: Dragon's Blood is the new hero of Dota 2. He comes with Update 7.30e, which is technically the first patch after TI10, but not the massive gameplay update available to players. Fans. probably waited.
| DOTA 2 Newest Hero Marci |
Valve promised that Marci would arrive at Dota 2 "this fall" in the trailer that revealed the character released during The International 2021, but it shouldn't have been before "next week".
Still, Marci's arrival should be enough to satisfy Dota 2 fans' appetites for new content. Marci looks like a nice addition to the game and offers the kind of unique movement sets fans haven't gotten from other current heroes like Dawnbreaker and Hoodwink.
Marci's Skills in Dota 2
Marci's first spell is Dispose, which is similar to Tiny's Toss spell. It makes a monkey throw, knocks back an enemy, and deals damage and stun in an area of effect around the unit once it lands.
Bounce is their most unique ability. Marci chooses an allied or enemy unit to attack and walks away, jumping into a selected area, dealing AOE damage and slowing down. If it ricochets off a friendly unit, it gains a movement speed bonus for five seconds.
Her electronic spell is Sidekick, an ability that grants Marci and a hero friend a six second life steal and bonus damage on their attacks. It can be upgraded with talents twice, giving it up to 100% health steal and 1.75 seconds of spell immunity, which could make it an incredible saving throw.
Finally Marcis Ultimate Unleash. The spell makes Marci a massive threat from physical explosion damage and grants her 18 seconds of Ursa's annihilation spell. Unleash allows him to fire five quick shots
Marci Role in Dota 2
Dota 2 Update 7.30e Nerf's TI10 favorites.
Marci's debut comes with the 7.30e update. Most of these were minor, but there are clear answers to TI10 strategies.
Marci has a number of crowd control tools that can set up ganks and control the pace of team fights. Unleash also gives him a tremendous amount of physical explosion damage that is easily applied thanks to Rebound's mobility. This could make him a carry or even a mid under the right circumstances.
Marci is a strength-based hand-to-hand combat initiator. She fits into a basic off-piste or soft support role most of the time, but will no doubt find a lot of slack like wear and tear in the coming weeks.
Lycan's Wolf Bite has an extended cooldown. Magnus' Horn Toss no longer stuns, but slows his movement and attack speed by 100%, allowing players to use items or spells to knock Magnus out of a potential saliva. Tinys Tree Wings also received a double nerf that reduced the build damage and AOE from Tree Throw.
